This popular gin brand all started with Grandpa Bobby’s twist on traditional Jenever. Bobby’s Gin founders Sebastiaan van Bokkel and his brother David Blom are telling the story of Grandpa Bobby until this day.

Grandpa Bobby used to mix his Jenever with cloves, cinnamon and lemongrass: herbs used in Indonesian cuisine. His grandson Sebastian discovered a bottle of this mixture in his mother’s home. Inspired by the story of his grandfather, Sebastian traveled to the Dutch Distillers District in Schiedam and met distiller Herman Jansen. Together, they created a new kind of gin by combining Jenever from Schiedam with Indonesian herbs and spices.
